Yeah, I don't really know why Jeff includes it. I guess it probably increases his clicks significantly for advertising money. But it seems to detract from the brand of DCUM as a family site, if that has any revenue value. I guess DCUM in general was always not really family friendly at heart, however!
Families are the product of sex. Sex (hopefully!) takes place throughout the period of the marriage. We don't talk about it enough. I don't read through the explicit forum, but I hope they're talking about the importance of making time for physical intimacy once you become a parent. That's a hard adjustment, and there's not a lot of information out there. I'm surprised there isn't more discussion of sex ed for children in the General Parenting section. My kids are early school age. What's a good starting point for discussion? What about people with teens and tweens? The "talk"? Sending kids off to college? Birth control for minors? Teaching teens about self love? First boyfriends and girlfriends, how do parents manage our anxiety? The idea that a "family site" has no room for sex is a big problem. Issues like potty-training, breastfeeding, and STTN have shown what a marvelous resource we can be for one another. I, for one, am not interested in your shaming.
