The Catholics forced the natives in south America to convert, not to mention all the pagans of Europe -- and the Jews in Spain. All under pain of death , in some cases, preceded by torture. Also, Catholics used to require a non-catholic spouse to promise to raise their children Catholic -- maybe they still do. [/quote]
