They are all related. There are allegations made by Snowden that ISIS was created by the British, American intelligence and Mossad :

I can tell you one thing about ISIS.  All the Muslims that i know say that I SIS are clearly non-muslims and trained assassins  to serve Zionism. This is the current discourse in Muslim communities. The main basis, is that we do not bomb mosques especially ones made in respect of a Prophet. We love and respect all Prophets. . We do not drive out people of other religions from our land and call out to annihilate them. [/quote]
