Is anyone familiar with the following story: http://jobs.aol.com/articles/2012/05/31/elite-private-school-accused-of-culture-of-discrimination/.
As I recall that lawsuit got dismissed. It read like the plaintiff was trying to get leverage since he and the school parted ways on substantive issues. That appears to have been borne out by the dismissal.
It's far more interesting than that. First, Landon School prevailed before a jury on the claim of wrongful termination after less than two hours of deliberations (a jury in Montgomery County Circuit Court decided that the charges were unfounded). The jury also ruled in favor of Landon’s counterclaims that Harrison had breached his contract and loyalty to the school during his employment there (Harrison had been the school’s chief finance and operations officer). The details of the subsequent settlement are confidential, but I'd guess that Landon recovered something from Harrison and maybe the lawyers. At the time of the initial filing, someone was busted for being paid to post about the suit on this very forum. http://www.gazette.net/article/20130823/NEWS/130829426/1022/former-landon-school-employee-loses-suit-against-school&template=gazette
