OP. A couple of moms offered to drop off the milk and I was so tempted to accept that offer (but they were nowhere close to where I live). If they had dropped off and seen my house etc, they would have known I am not doing this for the money. I can't even imagine anyone (even the most financially needy mom) doing this for money. Mom, from whom milk was picked up yesterday thank you again (I know you LO couldn't use it since it wasn't dairy/soy free but know that my LO already had 22 oz since). Anyway, we have picked only enough to last us this week.
I don't think anyone thinks you are doing this to make money. I think we are questioning why you are taking such a huge risk with untested breastmilk that could give your child diseases. For me personally it's hard to comprehend and I don't really want to contribute to this practice which I consider very risky, much more than a feeding tube. I know you want to trust that this milk is ok but this is an anonymous forum and you really have no idea what is in the milk you are feeding your child. There are a lot of crazy people out there, lactating mothers included. I pray for your child that the milk you are using is safe.
