Actually it's the non-clothing aspect of the uniform that bothers my child-she has personal, modest jewelry she cannot wear and red high tops that are against code. I'm all for uniforms, but the present rules of what to not wear and where to not go are too restrictive for our DC.
Then I guess Hardy is not for you. Go forth and find a suitable charter or pay $25K for a private with no uniforms so your kid can wear red high tops every day.
Way to be inclusive, there Hardy parent! And FWIW, even the local catholic schools have less restrictive jewelry and loitering rules than Hardy. Just because this doesn't matter to you or your child doesn't mean you should not have empathy for others it may matter to, ESPECIALLY if you are trying to make the school an even better place to attend!
