Parents help out in their child's school because they want to be engaged. Because they care about their school community. Because they care about the success of all children. Because they want to help the teacher. Because they enjoy it. Because it doesn't matter whether the school in their community is a Title 1 school or an AAP center or a traditional school in a wealthy neighborhood--they simply want to make a difference by helping out.
