I grow up in the 80's and some girls would sit in the back of the class because they had huge, teased, hairsprayed hair because those behind couldn't see the chalkboard.[/quote] How do you know the kids sit in rows? And if the problem were that for some reason the classroom is arranged so that it is not possible to see around her hair (which, for heaven's sake, is not exactly the size of Nebraska), presumably the school would try to address that problem, rather than say that her hair is "distracting". Her hair is distracting only for people who find natural hair transgressive.[/quote]
