For every unit of "affordable housing" (not "low-income housing") made available through new programs, four units are being eliminated. And you'll notice the term of art is no longer "low-income housing" or "public housing" but "affordable housing". What that means is that a good number of those units are reserved for families making around $60k a year.

I agree with you. I read the above rant on single moms and almost burst into flames. My sister happens to be a single mom with 3 kids and works a full time job but is part of the working poor. She is very involved with her children and their education. Sadly, we live in a society where men are not forced to pay child support and women often get stuck in bad economic situations. It also doesn't help that women make $0.77 on the dollar that men make. You are a total asshole! Go pick on someone who deserves it... and it isn't single moms![/quote]
