Well, in this particular case, the PP provided the primary historical document to refute the prior assertion and to support the PP's point.  Instead of a well-reasoned factual rebuttal of the PP's post, the best the person could do was a dismissive non responsive answer.  So it may just be a case of the old political adage that " Conservatives are so strong in their beliefs that they never let facts get in the way of them." [/quote]
