Work with the kids I teach and THEN tell me there's no reason to hate.  They hate.  And I'm damn lucky that this white gal has no problems in the classroom . . . b/c I am not the norm.

I feel for the victim of this crime. It's hard to understand senseless violence, no matter where you come from or what kind of guilt you have. It wouldn't make me feel better to know I'd been targeted for my race. It would be logical that someone who is a victim of crime in a low income neighborhood would wonder why his attackers did not take his expensive gear or the money in his pocket.
