Here was our logic- neither of us had student loans, no car payments (at the time) and only had cc debt which we hated but was at near zero rates. It was a small portion of our budget so it wasn't that big of a deal and we tried to pay as much off/sock away as much as we could prior to kids. We decided we could be cc free and have fertility problems which would be equal to cc debt. We also wanted to be 'younger' parents which was something important to us. Do we still have cc debt? Yes, but we have been actively trying to pay it down.[/quote]
