Similarly, Williams admits students perceived to be a good match for the school's culture, both academically and in terms of community involvement. The most selective schools are fortunate to have many accomplished applicants, thus admissions decisions turn on fit -- with the college community as a whole and with the class being admitted. For these applicants, individual decisions might be difficult to accept in the short term, but in the long term most kids bloom where they're planted. [/quote]
