Also, on weekends when you really have nothing planned but just don't want to sit around, a 5K is a great way to start the day, and its usually for charity so that's an added bonus.  And when people ask, what did you do over the weekend, you can tell them about it.  5Ks can be as competitive or non-competitive as you want them to be and some are in cool locations.[/quote]
