Not sure where you came up with that number, but everything I found on their website said 60% female and 40% male, which is how it has been for years. [/quote]
A google search of "jmu male female ration" reveals

And just anecdotally everyone I know with any connection to JMU says they tilt those stats to look more male than it is (not scientific, I know).  But when we went on a tour one Saturday at 10am 2 years ago, we did not pass a male student for a full 90 minutes (DD was counting).  [/quote]
