If your 17 year old is not capable of making a healthy breakfast and a sandwich, you have failed as a parent miserably. I cook dinner and the nearly adult teen either eats or makes himself something else if he doesn't like what's for dinner. No one is "choosing not to feed their kids." [/quote]
