Same. I’m a teacher and DH isn’t but is in a different field and works really hard. Our kids constantly say they don’t want to be like us and want high paying jobs. Apparently I didn’t explain myself well. Yes, that’s what I meant.  Yes, the job is just that.  They want high paying careers to provide money, to be able to fund things they do love to do, which will not be work related.  They want lives that are more balanced than what we have.

Of course, they are young.  All of us would love high paying jobs that give us free time to do the things we want to do.  [/quote]
