Do well in premed classes and have good experiences wherever you are. Med school admissions is a numbers game, in addition to shadowing, research, clinical experience, volunteering. As far as employers v . employees, you've probably noticed that a lot of docs are resigned to being employees and not running their own practices as much. However, if your kid is interested in the business side, throw in some accounting and business classes, schedule permitting. [/quote]
