The government is funded by taxpayers. The government doesn’t have any money; it takes money in the form of taxes from taxpayers.

Religion is funded by both taxpayers and their congregation. There was just something in the news about Trump pulling back money for catholic charities. Many religions are not charitable btw just like many governments are not charitable. You can pretend both government and religion are not people but it's not true. There is no God running either of these types of institutions and these are just organizations of people with different agendas doing stuff for people. [/quote]
