Beyoncé does a great show. So do the Alvin Ailey Company and the Dance Theater of Harlem, and the ABT and the NYCB — among others. My guess is that Beyoncé might agree. If you don’t care, that’s fine.

To answer your question though, many of us admire combinations of incredible physical skills, musicality, beauty (admittedly in the eye of the beholder) and storytelling. Some of us care even more if we’ve had a class or two, and realize just how challenging these accomplishments can be.  I care because I’ve been lucky enough to see some incredibly beautiful performances.  I’ve also learned to care about other things — like jazz - that took time and experience that allowed me to grow into it.  Not saying that you should care, just pointing out that like single malt and sushi, some things take more than an initial taste to be fully appreciated. [/quote]
