You wouldn't find out someone reported you anyway, you would just get a communication from your county and/or state telling you to register your vehicle and assessing you property tax. And I bet OP has a pretty good sense of whether or not their neighbor is a "student," and it looks like the residency is pretty clear. But if the neighbor has a defense to not having registered their car -- then fine, let them bring it when the authorities contact them. [/quote]
