Teacher here. This. No teaching on the makeup days. Even if you want to, it is impossible to pull off because more than half the kids are missing. The remainder refuse to do work because they know you cannot give them an All Task assignment on the last few days especially with so many kids not there. Teachers and kids are also burned out by then. Kids come to school and just sit on their phones. And good luck trying to get them off the phones with MCPS’s lax cell phone policy. Send your kids for babysitting if you want but odds are high, not much will be going on. Many teachers will take leave and there will be substitutes[/quote]
