I have had lots of positive experiences with immigrants as friends and coworkers, and contractors, never hurt by one in any way. Nor has any friend or family member been hurt by an immigrant. Have you ever been personally hurt by an immigrant?
I don't know what is your definition of "hurt", but our public school was overwhelmed and a lot of resources was thrown to ESL classes that should be used to raise teacher's salaries. Class sized are significantly increased. In addition, every time I have to take my elderly parent to Inova emergency room at night, the waiting room is filled up with primarily latin americans. Again, I was not 'hurt", but our waiting period was hours before my mom could be seen by the doctor. I went there in January again at 11 pm, and there was only one person sitting in the waiting room (and this is in the middle of the flu season). I do have more positive experience with the neighbors (we live in very diverse neighborhood) and colleagues (I worked with people from 40+ different countries), and I am an immigrant myself. But those all are legal immigrants.
