As a Black person, this does not anger me. It's par for the course, and not even actually funny. Anyone who finds it funny exposes themselves as not only racist, but having the sense of humor and intelligence of a 12 year old boy.

You want to get up in arms about racism? Let's talk about the prison industrial complex, over policing, wealth disparity, education disparities, the generational damages done by slavery and Jim Crow. I do not care about monkey jokes. [/quote]

Well my 12 year old kid actually called out the racism of another kid in his class making fun of kids with darker skin by calling them "darkies" and "monkeys" last year (not kidding, this was in FCPS), so I would still say this kind of sh*t from our POTUS - which yes, even kids may see - enables racism at young ages.
