[/quote] What I remember was there was an intense legal process, first. There were multiple court cases and rulings, and mediation attempts, before the eventual raid took place. No one was in favor of the raid, but it was carried out lawfully. And for the ultimate purpose of reuniting a boy with his biological father. Not just to deport the kid because he was here illegally. And the boy was NEVER detained in a holding prison. They raided the house he was living in with hus uncle, and 4 hours later he was with his Dad in Cuba. I do recall Mayor Giuliani called the BORTAC agents "storm troopers" [/quote]
