UMBC is the top institution for Black undergraduates who go on to earn Ph.D.s in the natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, mathematics, and computer science. Freeman Hrabowski, the former UMBC president, was an absolute force of nature with their stem undergrad research programs.[/quote]
