Minnesota is planning a general strike on Friday, January 23. The call is for people to stay home and do nothing for 24 hours. No idea if there is any effort to spread it to other states. Worth keeping an eye on. Regardless I will not be participating in the US economy on Friday.
I'm guessing you don't have kids in school?
Jesus Christ people. Freedom is a constant struggle. Every freedom you have is because someone fought and died for it. You can sacrifice just a tiny bit to continue enjoying the freedoms you have because others sacrificed for you.
Tell that to an hourly wage worker with kids.
Do you enjoy freedom or not? Inconvenience is part of the deal.
I work in schools with kids whose families have 4 kids in a 2 BR apt. Their dads mow lawns. Moms are housekeepers. They can't stay home with their kids. Get real.
Then enjoy no longer living in a democracy. You people still do not seem to get what is at stake, and you honestly do not deserve to enjoy the rights your ancestors fought and died to give you.
"You people?" I'm not an hourly worker living in a crowded apt. I'm telling you about the families who can't afford to do what you're asking.
There are other ways they can help. But you're not actually worried about them. You're trying to take the air out of other people trying to take action. Almost like someone with with a vested interest in quelling resistance. Are they paying you well or do you just enjoy selling out your country?
You have serious issues and seem to enjoy making up stories. I work in a school that's comprised of 80% Hispanic students, and we have native Spanish speaking personnel at the front desk to assist parents and students. I know how hard they're working to provide for their families. I don't think you do.
