what i am saying is that kids are using hard drugs, opioids, synethtics like kratom, xaxan likes it aspirin, pot is the least of it. The situation is very bad. My friend who is a counselor says there has been a task formed with several schools to address it. Not all families involved are wealthy but 3 are and no one really knew until recently. One is my friend so she came out and opened up to me. It has destroyed them. The son is away for months now hopefully getting the help he needs. Ironically the kid who gave him the pill laced with fentanyl was one of his teammates. They have hired an attorney but this "ring" goes apparently really deep and they are not sure thy want to make this public for many reasons. not sure what will happen. just wanted to give a heads up to everyone. these kids i refer to are your all American well rounded, well liked kids- i was and am still shocked. and these are the ones I know of, am sure there are more.
I don't know how you could be so clueless. Everyone knows this, OP. It could be your kid, it could be any kid. We're not stupid.
NP: Don't be ridiculous PP. Of course "Everyone" does NOT know this. You did, many do, but clearly many parents have no idea. A lot of parents make the mistake of thinking that because they created these kids and have raised them, they KNOW them so well that they'd know if they were using. And most of those parents would be wrong about that. Stop shaming people for something that is absurdly wrong, no, "everyone" does not know this stuff. That is how it gets even more out of control than it usually is in waves, because it's suddenly a wave of more parent awareness and checking their kids.
I’ll shame grown men and women who just “had no idea” that teens are at risk for drug use. Especially the worst ones who call their kids athletes and high stats and think it’s not them so I don’t have to educate myself. No excuses.
