So I disagree 100 percent. OP sounds like someone I might date if I still wanted to go on dates. I am about a decade older. I don't want anyone to take care of me. When I was dating, I didn't have trouble getting dates, although, like just about everyone, I didn't always get dates with the women I found most appealing and some relationships fizzled quickly before I found a long term partner.
