[/quote] honestly, any cutthroat atmosphere comes about because asian students knew they were being held to a higher standard and have to beat out the other asian kids they are being compared to, as opposed to just belng in a general pool of applicants. It Becomes an arms race within the asian community. And the reason why savvy asian parents are now avoiding heavily asian school districts. Hopefully the Rollback of anti-asian affirmative action will decrease some of those unfair excessive pressures. [/quote]
