Good luck everyone! I had one who got into 1st choice college ED this time of year. He cried he was so happy. My next one didn't get into BC nursing but did go to a neighboring state U with a 20% tuition break over BC and now they are a BSN/RN with a regional hospital. They actually loves/like their job and now I realize they could have gone anywhere for it. Back when my kids played sports one special kid went to BC and I think he literally just works in his dad's car dealership.
Glad it worked out. I would never pay full price at BC for nursing or teaching - you can get just as good of an education and placement at significantly cheaper schools.
Fwiw, you are right you can get a great nursing degree at a cheaper place but for others that doesn’t matter. If you have the money and kid takes no loans (and some can offer kid best egg on top of that) it is great to get nursing degree from a school with lots of identity and spirit if that means something to you. Every family’s calculation is different. I dislike when this board assumes everyone makes the same calculations and choices. Lots of different paths depending on life situation.
