I would not rely on anything that the WH or congressional Republicans put out as a desk or plan in the works. House is on recess through Oct. 1. Senate can’t even get the tainted CR to 50 votes. I think it’s safe to assume long shut down. I’m preparing for 1-3 with one of our two household incomes.

Right, someone up the thread said that DHS and DOD are both funded so the GOP won’t care if the rest of the govt shuts down. I was wondering where they got that info because as far as I know, no federal agency is funded and they will all shut down on 10/1 if nothing happens.[/quote]

Your understanding based on what?  No funding bills have been passed.   Exempted employees will have to work.    The rest will be furloughed. [/quote]

They are off fund raising at home. We elect people who spend a large amount of their time fundraising and promoting corporate interests over that of their constituents.[/quote]
