It is inexcusable that the inattentive mother of this child has not, at the very least, called and thanked OP that her child is still alive and inquire as to how she is. OP, what you did was heroic but, sadly, it is frequently the case that no good deed goes unpunished. I am so sorry that both of your legs are broken and the entire family of this child are in your debt forever. There is no excuse for this woman. [/quote]
