The Trump administration will promote another drug, leucovorin, as a potential autism treatment. Leucovorin, a generic medication made by several manufacturers, is typically used in cancer treatment to counter the harmful side effects of other drugs. So now, let's check the stock price of the maker of this drug. How much do we want to bet the Oligarchs invested in this a month ago?
It's grift, pure and simple. For people who want to be true believers, part of the problem is that autism is so sticky. It's really hard to hide lack of significant change. Leucovorin may well work for a very small percentage of children diagnosed with autism who have a particular genetic defect, but it's not going to do anything for the majority. Of course, we are in KoolAid times, so who knows if that will ever be acknowledged. The money will have already been made, anyway, profiteering on the backs of struggling children and the desperate families who love them. At this point, it's like having a ringside seat in the biggest clownshow on Earth. I hate this timeline.
