Why do they say he was released by a liberal judge? All I read was that he was arrested in 2020. No info about the outcome. It was an assault on a family member but with only an arrest record that doesn't even tell you how serious it was. 
with 22,000 homicides in the US per year, you can bet some are particularly horrific (although, and sorry to be callous, but dead is dead is dead). But the national news does NOT cover 22,000 homicides per year and only a handful make national headlines as it is. You just hate the fact that a particularly horrifying (because it happened in public) murder didn't get splashed everywhere to titillate everyone. Did her being young make the difference, what it that she was white, was it that she was Ukrainian?
