Agree that Pomona attracts few prestige seeking students because it's not that well known.  But surprised that there is a big difference between Williams and Amherst.  I always thought those were the two top names for LACs and the schools are similar.[/quote]

There is no difference between any of the top 10 or so SLACs, none. They are all great schools and kids should choose based on fit. This whole WASP argument is just ongoing DCUM nonsense to give insecure parents something to argue about, [b]same as HYPSM nonsense[/b].[/quote]

No difference between HYPSM and the rest of the T20. And, no difference between WASP and the other half dozen SLACs with identical student profiles.

And, no difference between WASP between the T20 and the top SLACs except that you will receive a superior undergraduate education at the SLACs.
