Unfortunately it’s true in a lot of cases. I know a few young women in their 20’s (friends of my gf) who are overweight, not pretty, and very broke who still hold out for a tall rich man. I’ve even tried to set them up with a few of my friends who are decent guys with decent jobs and they reject them upon seeing their photos (these are very normal looking guys, average heights).

DP, but my wife's best friend was like that. And she was actually very pretty. Not hot, but definitely cute. She refused to date any guy under 6 feet and without a graduate school degree. In the end  it took her until 34 to land a guy. She married a tall, unattractive, bald guy who was recently divorced and had a daughter. And he was living with his mom.

I still laugh. He is a carpet salesman with a degree from NOVA CC, probably makes 55K.
