[/quote] I was a teacher. My DD was in a team taught class in second grade and it was fine. (She was a GT kid.) I am all for mainstreaming. However, I am NOT for the present policy of removing the class when a child with issues cannot control him or herself. I know teachers who have had to remove the behaving kids more than once a day while a child flails around. That child needs to be removed. It is disruptive to the class and can have a huge impact on all the other kids. The school system needs some COMMON SENSE.[/quote]
