We drive a Chrysler Pacifica that is a plug in hybrid and live in N Arlington. We needed a large vehicle for carpooling and actually care about the environment, so SUVs are out. Even the Honda and Toyota hybrid SUVs get crappy milage, as Toyota hasn't improved its hybrid technology since it launched the Prius. We only put gas in the Pacifica about twice a year for road trips. Around town it runs on battery power.
We live in bethesda and same for the Chrysler. I think it’s made in Canada though, not US. Many of the not US brands are actually making cars in the South now though….there’s not a great correlation between brand and where stuff is actually made now and most cars are made with parts from all over.
