I thought gen z boys liked him, is that changing?
Gen Z boys were reacting to the DEI and identity politics that Democrats were espousing for the last 10 years. Think of it from their perspective. If you were a white, Asian, or Latino 18 year old straight male, it became clear you were not welcome in the Democratic Party because of things you have no control over - your race, sexuality, your parents income, your religion, and so on. Progressives identified these boys as the enemy. And GenZ boys responded accordingly and tuned out Democrats and tuned in Joe Rogan. But that didn't mean for a moment that they liked Trump and the GOP. It's just that Democrats identified them as an enemy. They were always told to be "allies" while the focus was elsewhere. These boys have the same sensibilities as most young people when it comes to health care, the environment, a social safety net, education, and so on. It's just that Democrats went out of their way to antagonize young men. They are as appalled by Trump as everyone, but they feel unwelcome among progressives and the Democratic Party.
The bolded could only be written by someone deep in a right wing fever dream bubble and is so full of BS as to be incomprehensible.
You clearly don't know any 16-24 year white, asian, or latino boys. And black boys are going the same way. Very few of these guys like Trump or Republicans, but they feel completely ostracized and unwelcome in the Democratic Party. That's a party for old rich white and black women who have zero connection with the real world.
ok genius... how do you make the party more oriented towards them? I mean, 100 percent of the policies are for the benefit of young people, people who make less than $300k a year and anyone who is not a nazi...
That's a great question to which I don't have a great answer. Barack Obama and Bill Clinton worked because they spoke to the middle class. They both had compelling life stories that were relatable and they both had remarkable charisma. You always got the sense with those two that they were on your side regardless of whatever social, gender, or racial box you found yourself in. Democrats lost that. I think one of the reasons Trump won is because he called out certain establishment BS - whether the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to NAFTA to illegal immigration, and how these things hurt the working and middle class. And meanwhile all Democrats and progressives talk about is All Cops Are Bastards, BLM, DEI, the definition of women and CIS-this and TERF-that, and Gaza a million miles away, and "equity" and shitty schools, and Latinos must be called LatinX because otherwise you are a racist, and you must put gender pronouns in your email whatever, and on and on with that crap. So young men are checked out from the Democratic Party. They don't like Republicans, but there is nothing compelling about Democrats these days with their identity BS and soft on violent crime policies - and trust me, that is a big deal for young men who have to navigate that violence. Young men want violent felons in prison. But Democrats oppose that. And so young men have to deal with that. Democrats offer nothing for young men. And the Democratic establishment seems to think some obscure tax write-offs and diverse candidates are the solution to everything. And that is not happening. GenZ men are an absolute wild card in politics.
