There were likely many people out and about around the convention center. Agree this story is heartbreaking on so many levels. I, too, have a young son who interned on the Hill and like most of them, goes out all over the city many nights after work. Very distressing and my heart breaks for his parents. I so hope they catch and prosecute the gang who did this.[/quote] Yes that is a “particularly dangerous spot.” A lot of people who claim to be DC saavy actually have no idea that some of the most dangerous spots are located closest to upscale/gentrified areas because they have some vague notion that “Anacostia” is where the crime is.
