Obviously report them. I reported someone I knew who was using a friend's address to get in state tuition in Virginia and I reported that. Can't the schools check the registered addresses for cars in the kiss and ride lines? These kids aren't riding the bus or walking. Make it known that there is an enf effort. How much of this is for sports? I saw the Hayfield comment, that was my thought too.
For our school, the kids are doing it for academics, not sports
They want a bigger cheaper house, so they buy a nicer house in the lower high school pyramid and lie about residency to attend our high school. Our cheaters are not from Maryland though. They are from adjacent FCPS high schools.
They "may" have permission. Coaches sometimes finesse that. Years ago, I had a neighbor who did that. Sports was definitely the reason. She said he had "social" issues and he received the transfer. The school had a better team and he was thinking he'd get a D1 scholarship. He was a good player--but not that good. Did not get that D1 scholarship he expected.
