It’s not satire.

Sabrina is going through the same arc every female child star goes through when they don’t have proper guidance. Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, etc.

They hit their mid-20s and want to prove they’re not little girls on Disney anymore so they go over the top with the sex stuff and claim it’s their “sexuality”. Miley Cyrus did the exact same thing 10 years ago - remember Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz? So cringe.

And what always happens is they alienate their fan base, who are also hitting their mid-20s and looking to grow up and settle down, not watch a grown woman smoke joints and have glitter c*m all over her face.

Their popularity falls and they usually go through a very messy, public divorce or get publicly shamed for going after another woman’s man. Lay low for a few years than come out with an album about how they were just young and stupid, the men in their life messed them up, etc.

Taylor had the guidance of her mother, who was a marketing executive and understands branding and consumer psychology. She knows that the core age demographics don’t respond well to over the top sexuality that caters to men, they want to feel empowered. And maybe for a girl who grew up on the Disney channel, acting out sexually is empowering, but it’s not for the average girl or woman. [/quote]
