Old thread but word to the wise- this a business for her and nothing more. Which seems very apparent after some time but at first, if you're new to MoCo or a new mom it seems like it's a way to make friends and ask for recommendations. The paid recommendations are OBNOXIOUS. She constantly recommends a lady that does hair (she seems like a nice person but not skilled) the hair looks like a hot ass mess. Limp, tired, flat. The worst pictures. Terrible styling. I'm looking at all these pics thinking ...what am I missing? Why is this being recommended? I went to one of the events, I paid $100. Before I paid I went on the IG and looked at the same event from a previous month. They had sushi and refreshments served. I based my choice to attend on the fact that there would be nice food and drinks so at least that explained some of the price point. When I got there she explained to the group that the Uber eats driver had stolen the food order. We went on with the event with no food. She said that there was bottled water "somewhere" which belonged to the business owner that we could have. Never pointed out where or offered it to anyone. Towards the end of the event cold pizza was produced. She did not offer to partially reimburse anyone or give a future credit to another event. Nothing. This is not what was described when selling the event. I was so hungry and thirsty by the time I left, to have spent $100 on some half-assed event. I understand that shit happens, but it was so incredibly unprofessional for this to be her business. It wasn't until I was in the group for a couple months that I even realized every single event is ticketed. If she really cared about mom's and her community, she would say hey- we were all meeting up here for a happy hour, or we are all meeting up here for coffee and let everyone enjoy. But she makes it a ticketed event so that she gets a slice. Just wanted to share my experience in case someone is naive and thinking they're going to make a bunch of friends or have an organic friendly experience. It's a business and not a good one.
Could you still make friends with the other moms who were there?
