Based on the rejections and where your kid was admitted, I hate to say it but she applied ambitiously.  I bet if she had GW, American, Tulane, etc. she would have gotten one of those. [/quote]

The weird rejection is Richmond.

Isn't Richmond a mid low tier school in Virginia, a solid safety for most kids?  JMU and GMU are definitely higher than Richmond.[/quote]

I agree with other posters saying there are too many reach and safety schools and not targets although it’s hard to say without seeing stats or a budget.
