And perhaps tropes — or the other extremes — might be the best way to capture the attention of people on the receiving end of marketing? I’m not looking for shoes, but kids doing hand clap games or jumping double Dutch or slurping snowballs will capture my attention and provoke a few warm and fuzzy feelings and memories in ways that kids playing with tablets probably won’t.
