I have noticed this as well. I have all girls, 2 in college who played since the age of 5, and only my youngest who is 13 has played with an Hispanic girl. [b]There just seems to be zero interest in girls sports [/b]in that community, and I live in MoCo which has a very large Hispanic population. Kinda sad for those girls, probably a lot of untapped talent in that population.[/quote]

Don't think you know it so I'll tell you but this is some ignorant ish. Interest is there, opportunities are non-exsistent, and because Latinos live and breath the game, there is a whole lot of sexism built in too about who gets to play what. Fortunately Colombia is showing that you just need to give the girls a chance to play and the country will follow. Hopefully their team can be the model for other latin american countries. Youth girls soccer landscape in the US will remain the same as long as its pay to play though.[/quote]
