The family forced outside in the rain during the raid is renting the home from the new owner. The deed was filed and recorded with the county less than 2 weeks before the late-April raid. The warrant was issued the day before the raid, after the new deed was recorded, but before the county’s online records were updated (as of the publishing of this new article, they still weren’t updated).

The new owner (not one of the subjects named in the warrant — those were the old owners and associates) will have to answer some questions;they may have been advertising the house for rent and collecting rent money from “Marissa” before the house actually belonged to them, according to this timeline, as Marissa said they moved in before the date the deed was recorded.

DHS would like to seize the house from the new owner, leaving Marissa’s family without a home, after they’ve already lost their savings to DHS.[/quote]
