Because Christianity teaches that everything happens for a reason and there is a deeper meaning to it all. It might be a cliche now but it really is like falling in love. One day the world could be gray and boring and then you fall in love and everything around you is suddenly so alive and vibrant. [/quote]

It dictates that you worship it, and only it - and gets extremely jealous if you are unfaithful. It has already decided on everything for you in your life, and it's terrible at communication, at least anything unambiguous and clear. Only it gets to define what constitutes sin, and then it threatens you with eternal punishment for disobeying.
