Look, I'm as left as it comes. I like to describe myself as "left of Trotsky" when people ask my political leanings and I'm only half joking.

I'm around military people all day long as part of my job and I'll be the first to tell you the Pentagon is chock full of very, very smart people. Now don't get me wrong, it's also full of ideologues, many of whom are smart people who inexplicably got caught up in the cult of Trump, [b]but to claim the Pentagon has "0% smart people" [/b]is ironically one of the dumbest statements I've heard in a while.

There are a lot of things out military does wrong, but there are two things it really does right; logistics and making sure really stupid people don't make it past O-6.
